Well let's see if I can get some of the old school airheads upset and throw out the vrsca(V-rod).
I have an 06 and do everything from daily commute to work to 14hr trip back from redwood run.
You do need to get rid of stock exhaust to make it sound respectable.

Why not both.. I like both ,I just got an 08 dyna, I have put lots of miles on it already. I like the rubber mount motor, the handling of the bike, and the look of the bike (it'll look even better when I get done F'n with it). The heritage is what it is a classic looking softail. Rides good, runs good, looks good. The both have their place.

Kinda funny, the ones who have a Dyna vote for a dyna, the softail owners veot for the softail. Bet if the E-glide/Roadking owners would vote for what they have.

I have an 02 FXDWG and an 05 FLSTCI. The Dyna I took cross-country in 02 and traveled 18,000 on it that summer and to Sturgis in 04. I wanted something a little more comfortable for long rides, but don't feel old enough for the Road Kings yet, so I bought an 05 Heritage Softail. Last year I took the Heritage to Rolling Thunder in DC and Sturgis. I love both bikes, but I have to say,I like the Heritage Softail for the long rides, but for day rides and bar hopping, I like the Dyna.

well... I have done 3300 miles from May 15-22 going to, riding around, and going home from myrtle beach and another 1400 miles this weekend for Rolling Thunder... all on my dyna... in bad weather and good; dark and lite... when/if me and that amazing bike part ways we won't owe each other anything... I hope you guys are thinkin the same about whatever you are ridin... I don't think I'm much of a biker... but I sure do like to ride... and that dyna is right up my alley... oh ya.

Definatly DYNA....I do not like the way the softails handle going into corners...I have yet to feel like my 2000 WideGlide was going to bury the nose into the pavement like I did test driving a 2006 Springer....
